A Coquí is a small frog native to Puerto Rico and other parts of the Caribbean. It’s known for its loud “co-quí” call, which is where its name comes from. There are at least 16 species of coqui frogs in the Island.
Coquí frogs are cultural symbols in Puerto Rico. They are featured in Indigenous Taíno art, pictographs, and pottery.
According to Taíno beliefs, a goddess created the coquí to call for her lost love!
The Coqui pendant is cast in sterling silver and comes on a 20″ sterling silver chain.i
